Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Epimeleia, a personal asset lifecycle manager for tracking properties, vehicles, appliances and other belongings alongside their warranties, contracts, insurance, receipts and maintenance history. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Who operates Epimeleia
Epimeleia is currently operated as an independent project. [Legal entity name, registration number and registered address to be added here before this page is treated as final.] Until that information is added, treat this page as a draft for review rather than a binding legal notice.
Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Epimeleia.
What Epimeleia is
Epimeleia lets you record the things you own, upload related documents, and set reminders for warranty expiry, maintenance, service renewals and other recurring dates. Some features — receipt scanning, maintenance suggestions and contract review — use artificial intelligence, described further below.
The dates, intervals and compliance information Epimeleia surfaces (including any country-specific deadline templates) are provided for your convenience. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and you remain responsible for checking official sources before relying on them.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If the law in your country sets a higher minimum age for consenting to a service like this without a parent or guardian, that higher age applies to you.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may sign in with a password, a magic link, or a Google account. If you use Google, Google's own terms and privacy policy also apply to that part of the sign-in flow.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload or enter — property and item details, photos, documents, receipts and notes ("your content"). We do not claim ownership of it.
You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your content back to you, and to household members you choose to share a property with, solely to provide the service. We do not sell your content or use it to train models for other users.
AI-powered features
Epimeleia's AI features (receipt scanning, maintenance suggestions, contract analysis) can run using your own API key for a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI, Anthropic or Google), which you supply and control in Settings. When you use your own key, your requests are billed to your account with that provider and are subject to that provider's own terms.
Where we offer a limited number of free AI-assisted scans per day without your own key, those requests are processed through an app-managed provider account under the daily limit shown in the product. We may change or withdraw this managed allowance at any time.
Third-party services
Epimeleia relies on third-party infrastructure to operate — including Supabase for our database, authentication and file storage, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email delivery, and Expo for push notification delivery — and, if you choose to connect it, Google Drive for optional document sync. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the relevant provider's own terms.
Acceptable use
Use Epimeleia only for its intended purpose: tracking your own belongings and property, or those you're authorised to manage, such as a shared household. Do not use the service to store content you don't have the right to store, to attempt to access other users' data, to interfere with the service's operation, or to break any applicable law.
Subscriptions and payment
Epimeleia is currently free to use. If we introduce paid subscription plans or one-off purchases in the future, pricing, billing terms and cancellation rights for those plans will be presented to you before you pay, and will supplement — not silently override — these Terms.
Disclaimers
Epimeleia is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep reminders, dates and AI-derived suggestions accurate, but we do not guarantee that they are complete, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Deadlines and requirements shown in the app, including any country-specific compliance templates, may change after we publish them — always confirm anything with legal or financial consequences against an official source.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service, and we are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services we integrate with.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Epimeleia and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including a missed reminder, an inaccurate AI-generated suggestion, or the unavailability of a third-party service we rely on. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for fraud.
Termination
You may stop using Epimeleia and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, or that we reasonably believe poses a security risk to the service or other users. Where practical, we'll tell you why.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. [To confirm before this page is treated as final: whether Greek law and Greek courts are the intended choice, or whether another EU member state's law should govern instead.]
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active users before the change takes effect.
